As the anchor of Channel Nine’s regional news service for Southern NSW, Vanessa O’Hanlon brings the latest local, national and international stories to viewers across the region.
Vanessa became a familiar Australian face as National Weather Presenter on ABC News Breakfast and ABC News 24, reporting on some of Australia and the world’s most significant weather events from 2008 to 2016.
Prior to becoming ABC News Breakfast’s first weather presenter, Vanessa held a variety of broadcasting positions including reporting live from a helicopter, co-hosting the lifestyle program ‘Living Life Now’ and hosting Mix 101.1’s ‘Melbourne After Dark’.
Born in Melbourne, Vanessa left the city for a regional radio tour honing her on-air presenting and news reading skills at radio stations in Darwin, Shepparton and Alice Springs. Her versatility also extended to Music Director and Copywriter.
Vanessa graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology and Public Relations. She has also studied with the Bureau of Meteorology.
As a corporate MC and voice over artist Vanessa brings a natural warmth, style and grace to every event or advertisement.
